Greener Padbury Group – Go Wild Holiday Sessions
Grant Amount: £2000
Our funding enabled the Greener Padbury Group to offer free Go Wild Holiday sessions for the local community. These sessions, featuring activities such as den building and owl pellet dissection, foster curiosity, enjoyment, and outdoor stewardship, enriching local environmental education for children.
“That we can continue to run Go Wild this year is thanks to Gawcott Fields Community Solar. Their support allows us to promote the protection and care of the wildlife on our doorstep, to help young people connect with nature, and to extend the reach of that connection and care. These sessions will also give you actions you can take home and into your community, to give biodiversity beyond these precious woods a much needed boost – and to Go Wild for Change.” – Cassandra Rigg, The Greener Padbury Group.
Padbury Parish Council – Sports Pavilion energy efficiency upgrades
Grant Amount: £4500
Our funding has enabled Padbury Parish Council to implement energy efficiency measures in their 1980s sports pavilion. By installing loft and wall cavity insulation, the Council have not only improved comfort but also significantly reduced their energy consumption and carbon emissions.
“Padbury Pavilion was built in the 1980s and needed updating. Also, following a consultation with residents, the internal area was increased to provide more community space. This was made possible by grants to the parish council, including a grant from Gawcott Fields Community Solar, for which we are very grateful and pleased with the result!” – Pam Malloy, Padbury Parish Council.
Gawcott with Lenborough Parish Council – Roper Field Pavilion retrofitting
Grant Amount: £1500
Our support has facilitated the replacement of loft insulation at the Roper Field Pavilion, reducing energy consumption and therefore lower energy bills.
The Bee Green Grant Fund provides support for community-led and environmentally-focused projects. We prioritise initiatives that foster positive local responses to environmental challenges.
