Jake is a renewable energy professional with 18 years’ experience of megawatt-scale wind and solar generation projects covering feasibility and development, finance, procurement, company and asset management. Jake is a founding director of CfR CIC, which helped set up Gawcott Solar and provides ongoing company and asset management services.
Prior to founding CfR in 2012 he was Chief Operating Officer of an advisory company helping large corporations to develop and implement their own renewable energy strategies, including working with a major international retail and manufacturing company to develop and implement a €1billion wind power investment strategy. Prior to that he worked in the Ernst & Young Renewable Energy team in Exeter.
Jake is a non-exec director of a number of the local energy enterprises CfR has helped to set up. He was awarded the ‘Community Energy Champion’ award by Community Energy England in 2018. He has an MSc in Renewable Energy Policy and Economics from Imperial College and a 1st Class MA in Social Anthropology from the University of St Andrews.
