Sharon Russell-Verma

Sharon is an environmental scientist, who has a keen interest in science communications and for the last 20 years has worked largely in the renewable energy, water and waste industries.

Currently she is the project lead for a flood innovation project at Central Bedfordshire Council. Prior to this she was an impact manager for a research project at Imperial College London, where she worked closely with research staff to identify, gather, capture and evaluate evidence to demonstrate the reach and significant of their
research projects.

She has experience running large funding grants for renewable energy builds namely anaerobic digestion infrastructure. During her time at the National Energy Foundation she provided advice about the benefits of improving energy efficiency in domestic homes and liaised between householders and their chosen Green Deal provider to ensure the smooth installation of appropriate energy efficient measure in their homes.

Sharon has lived in Buckinghamshire for the last six years. She has a MSc in Environmental Management from Nottingham University and a MSc (Research) in Water Sciences from Cranfield University.
