Annual Report 2026 & Bondholder Interest Payment
Gawcott Fields Solar is pleased to present its 2026 Annual Report to bondholders, highlighting another strong year of performance, continued community investment, and the latest bond interest payment.
Solar farm delivers strong performance in 2025
The Gawcott Fields solar farm continued to perform well throughout 2025, generating just under 4.6GWh of renewable electricity, more than 3% above long-term projections.
A particularly sunny spring helped offset a short 10-day outage in August, caused by essential maintenance on the local electricity network.
Despite this temporary disruption, overall generation remained strong, reflecting the reliability of the site’s infrastructure and ongoing monitoring, including regular drone surveys to ensure optimal panel performance.
Diverse community funding
The project recorded its highest ever revenue, reaching approximately £1.26 million for the year.
This strong financial performance has enabled a record £192,000 to be allocated to community benefit funding for 2025/26.
The solar farm continues to meet all its financial commitments, including:
- Scheduled repayments to lenders
- Ongoing bondholder payments
- Continued investment in local initiatives
Bondholder interest payment confirmed
The third bond interest payment of 6.5% on the current bond offer was successfully made in September 2025, alongside a scheduled capital repayment.
Payments were processed through the Ethex platform, with interest paid net of basic rate tax where applicable.
This continues the project’s track record of delivering reliable returns to its community investors.
Supporting local communities
Through its Bee Green Grant Fund, Gawcott Solar has continued to reinvest surplus income into the local area.
Projects supported in 2025 include:
- Energy efficiency upgrades at Gawcott Village Hall
- Installation of an air source heat pump in Tingewick Village Hall
- Heating improvements at Maids Moreton School
- Funding for Citizens Advice Bucks to expand face-to-face energy support services
- Educational visits for local schools
These initiatives reflect the organisation’s mission to combine clean energy generation with tangible local benefits.
Education and engagement
Education remained a key focus, with nearly 300 pupils from eight local schools visiting the solar farm as part of the Net Zero Schools programme.
Students took part in hands-on learning, exploring how solar energy is generated and gaining insight into climate change and biodiversity through interactive activities.
Biodiversity continues to thrive
Efforts to enhance biodiversity across the site showed clear results in 2025.
Wildflower planting, reduced grass cutting, and habitat management have supported:
- Increased small mammal activity
- Bird populations including kites and kestrels
- A diverse range of plant and insect life
Further plans for 2026 include expanding wildflower areas and exploring conservation grazing to enhance habitats naturally.
